from the series : remembering/fortunes

Drinking coffee; always, always black.
Sharing oranges and popping popcorn.

Playing in the speedboat full of spiders
So much pleasure and pain
Like the pear trees in the backyard buzzing with the sound of bees.

gchat poem: feat. rachel

me: warm today?
Sent at 4:35 PM on Sunday
Rachel: its fine with a couple layers of coats
Sent at 4:36 PM on Sunday
me: nice, layering is 'in' when it's cold
your fashion is controlled by weather
by function
by throwing all your belongings onto the street
Rachel: ok
that was very profound and existential
me: it's nice then

excerpt : futile descriptions

All of this is like trying to take a picture of the moon,
ghostly in the sky. (the only ghost in the sky)
vampire, tide, infinity.
